Our Signature Process: Design That Starts With People

At Let’s Go Design Co., we don’t start with furniture, paint colors, or Pinterest boards. We start with people. We believe every designed thing; a space, a mural, a logo, a brand is part of a relationship. A relationship between a human and an environment. And whether that environment is a ski-house Airbnb, a child’s nursery, a car wash in a rural town, or a logo someone encounters for the first time on Instagram, the question is always the same:

What is the experience we are creating, and how do we want people to feel when they interact with it? That belief is what makes us different. Our niche isn’t a property type or an industry. Our niche is experience. We design for what happens in a space, not just how it looks in photos.

Design Isn’t About How It Looks, It’s About What It Means

Most design firms are hired to make something look good. We’re hired to make something mean something. To us, design is storytelling. It’s emotional, It’s behavioral, and It’s strategic. A space is always communicating even when no one is paying attention to it. The real question isn’t whether your space or brand is telling a story, but whether it’s telling the right one.

That’s why we describe ourselves as an experiential design firm. Not because it sounds trendy or vague, but because experience is the through-line of everything we do. Interior design, murals, branding, and logos are simply different tools for shaping how people experience a place or a brand.

The Core Beliefs Behind Our Signature Process

We return to these principles again and again because they shape every decision we make: Design is communication. If you don’t define the experience, you’ll accidentally design the wrong one. A clear narrative beats a collection of beautiful objects. Murals are not decoration they’re environment-shaping tools. Front-loading creative direction prevents expensive misalignment later. A space can be pretty, or it can be unforgettable. We aim for unforgettable.

Inside the Let’s Go Design Co. Signature Process

At Let’s Go Design Co., we use the same framework across interiors, murals, and branding because human-centered design is at the heart of everything we do.

📖 1. On-boarding

We start by defining the story. Who is this for? What moments matter? How do people move, gather, rest, or celebrate? Every space, brand, or logo has a story, and we define it first.

🧭2. Creative Direction

Next, we translate the story into visuals. Colors, materials, patterns, and flow aren’t chosen at random, they align with the narrative to create intentional, meaningful design.

🎨 3. Design

Ideas take shape through sketches, mockups, and mood boards. This stage tests concepts and ensures everything reflects the story and creative direction.

🛒 4. Procurement

Design becomes reality. We source and coordinate furniture, finishes, fixtures, and brand elements to bring the vision to life.

🛠️ 5. Installation

From murals to furniture to branding rollouts, this is the build phase. Execution is key to ensure the design works beautifully in real life.

✅ 6. Project Wrap

The experience doesn’t end at installation. It lives on through photography, storytelling, and how people continue to interact with the space online and in real life. A well-designed project keeps working long after the last piece is installed.

If you’re curious what it feels like to approach a project this way, we created a resource to help you do the same upstream thinking we use with our clients, before buying anything or hiring a designer.

Our “Interior Design Comparison Guide” helps you evaluate design options (including DIY) side by side, using the questions that actually matter, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
