What Happens When Creativity Meets Calculated Risk: The Birth of LGDC
Some partnerships are planned. Some are strategic. And then there are the ones that find you in the middle of chaos and quietly change everything.
Bella & Levi met in 2020 under wild COVID circumstances, a time when the world felt uncertain, unstable, and completely upside down. Yet, amid that uncertainty, both of them felt something they couldn’t logically explain: they were meant to create something impactful together.
At the time, Levi already had a very different relationship with risk, money, and ownership than most people his age. At just 24, he had scraped together $7,000 (and his sister another $7,000) total $14,000 to purchase his first real estate investment. They house-hacked a giant 7-bedroom house in the middle of a friendly family neighborhood a mile from a college town. It essentially turned into a coed frat house dorm (lol), but it paid the mortgage in full and allowed them to live rent-free while paying down their equity. It wasn’t glamorous, but it proved that ownership didn’t require perfection just commitment.
Bella, on the other hand, carried a very different belief. When she met Levi, she thought homeownership was something only older people did. Something far off. Something reserved for “later in life.” But Levi’s story cracked that belief wide open. Suddenly, what felt impossible felt… possible. And that shift changed everything.
The Duplex That Became the Foundation
In 2021, Bella and Levi made their move. After a year of saving (while they traveled in lower cost-of-living countries), they purchased a duplex in Salt Lake City with a 2.7% interest rate (a number that now feels almost unreal) and $20,000 down as a primary residence that they were planning to fix up and eventually turn it into an Airbnb. While this feels like a dream situation now, this was undeniably the largest risk they could have taken as 26-year-olds, unmarried, with zero renovation experience and not a ton of money. But they made a decision to bet on themselves before they had all the answers; sometimes that’s all “getting lucky” really is.
Then came the renovation. It was estimated to be close to $400,000 if they were to do the work by traditional means of contractors. Instead, they chose to do it themselves, taking their time and learning as they went. After 9 months, a lot of elbow grease, an education of hard-knocks, and YouTube University, they finished the job (all renovations, furnishings, and Airbnb ready) for $70,000.
It wasn’t just about saving money; it was about building something with their own hands, creativity, and systems.
Bella brought over a decade of graphic design experience, visual intuition, and creative direction.
Levi brought a systems-driven, process-based approach that ensured the vision could actually be executed (and a lot of tools).
Every wall (which included quite a few murals), every detail, every decision was intentional. And then they launched it on Airbnb. The property didn’t just do “okay.” It immediately performed and ultimately produced an estimated ~60% cash-on-cash return. That number didn’t just offset housing costs. It unlocked belief. It created leverage. It created time. And the word spread in the Airbnb world.
When Art Met Opportunity
As the Airbnb gained traction, Bella began attending Airbnb conferences, originally for learning, inspiration, and connection. But what happened next changed the trajectory of her career: her murals started getting noticed.
People weren’t just asking about the property anymore; they were asking about the artist behind it, the design choices, and the feeling the space created.
In 2023, Bella landed her first official client project (S/O to Daniel Riser for believing when no one else did)
By 2024, the question was no longer if they would make this official, it was how fast they could grow it.
Enter, Let’s Go Design Co. Levi made the terrifying leap and left his corporate job in September 2024. No guaranteed outcomes. Just the confidence built from one calculated risk after another. LGDC became a full-time venture not just a business, but a shared mission.
Today, the brand focuses on making the world more beautiful and helping others transform: Investment properties, Homes, and Creative spaces. Not just visually, but financially and emotionally, too.
The Evolution Continues: Why 2026 Matters
This year is about: Telling more stories, Showing the behind-the-scenes, and Inviting people into the evolution of their growing design studio. Not just the glossy “after” shots, but the messy middle, the decision-making, the systems, the creative risks, and the fear that shows up right before growth does.
Because their journey didn’t start with a perfect plan. It started with belief.
A $7K leap (from Levi), a shift in “what’s possible in real estate no matter your age” for Bella, elbow grease & a will to figure it out from them both, a duplex, and belief in themselves to grow something and make the world more beautiful with and for others.
And they’re just getting started.
Real Estate Is Always Scary, But It’s Always Worth It
